FBCU Members, you are invited to the Florida Baptist Credit Union's Annual Meeting on March 17th at 5pm. This will be our 30th Annual Meeting and we are excited to see all who can attend. The meeting will be Thursday, 3/17/16, with Snacks and Fellowship to start at 5pm and the Meeting to start at 5:30pm. It will be held at the Credit Union's Offices at 1320 Hendricks Ave, Jacksonville FL. We will have drawings for door prizes, plenty of snacks, and a lot of good fellowship! During the business meeting we will review the last year's accomplishments and elect/re-elect several Board Members and Supervisory Committee Members. Please be aware that the NCUA (National Credit Union Administration, the regulatory body we report to) is warning Consumers about a telephone scam in which consumers are contacted by a caller claiming to work for NCUA and asking for personal and financial information. The caller tells the consumer her or his credit card or debit card has been frozen or blocked. The caller then asks for the consumer’s Social Security number, account number, date of birth and home address to supposedly verify the information. These scamming callers are constantly improving their methods, so always challenge the caller to provide you with enough information to prove their identity. You should not provide this information until you are assured they are legitimate. Be suspicious of pressure they may try to use to overcome your questions. If you have any doubts about the caller, ask for a phone number to return the call and their name. They should not object to providing you with this information and you returning the call. If it is credit card, debit card, or credit union account related, call us. We are here to assist you in your financial needs, so feel free to let us help.
